On PHYSICAL STIGMATA Ascribed to VITAMIN A and ASCORBIC ACID DEFICIENCIES

To stimulate further interest in methods of appraising clinical signs of vitamin deficiencies, a detailed description and analysis of the criteria used in classifying children exhibiting (1) no or very mild signs suggestive of vitamin deficiency, (2) widely accepted signs suggestive of vitamin A deficiency, and (3) widely accepted signs suggestive of ascorbic acid deficiency is presented.
