We have studied the variations in blood sugar after the administration of glucose and glucose and insulin, and in lipemia after the ingestion of a fat meal, fasting or following previous treatment with glucose and insulin, in normal and obese patients (either in the dynamic or static phase). According to our results, it seems possible to conclude that glucose tolerance is increased in the dynamic phase of obesity, and decreased in the static phase. Moreover, there seems to be a greater avidity for lipids in the adipose tissue in the static phase, than in the dynamic phase.
