Described herein are the food habits of the Bedouins in relation to the ways of life in the Negev Desert. The methodologic difficulties encountered when the method of family interview is applied to such people are presented as well as the results which, even when evaluated with due caution, permit some insight into food intake. Figures for height and weight, blood cholesterol and incidence of myocardial infarction are presented for comparison with other groups and with results of future studies.
