The present study was an attempt to evaluate the nutritional status of children living in an area where bladder stones commonly occur with regard to their sulfate excretion. It was found that newborn and infant boys of villages in a hyperendemic area excreted less total sulfate and less free sulfate than boys from two hypoendemic areas.
