No significant differences were noted in the dietary background of 50 female patients with classical CHD when compared with 50 age- and sex-matched controls. The female subjects consumed about 20% fewer calories than age-matched males, but no significant differences were noted in the proportion of different foodstuffs consumed by the two sexes.
