Catabolic and Anabolic Hepatotoxicity and Nutrition

The catabolic and anabolic responses in the liver following exposure to toxins are described. Evidence is presented to indicate the possible relationship between the effects of various toxins present in food and in the environment in the pathogenesis of chronic liver injury.
