The techniques and materials discussed in this article produce consistently reliable EKG signals from the most active persons. These signals are stable enough to be used with any measuring device that processes EKG to obtain heart rate. The accuracy of heart-rate data from active persons need not be limited by the stability of the EKG. It can be as accurate as the counting method itself.
