Bone density and dietary findings of 409 Tennessee subjects. I. Bone density considerations

Bone density measurements were made of 409 Tennessee subjects 3 to 90 years of age. Dietary data were collected for 386 of these subjects.

Bone density increased for both males and females during childhood and adolescence with a more rapid increase occurring after age 15. There was a decrease in bone density of both sexes after age 50.
