Am J Clin Nutr 1991;53:1604S-11S. On page 1607S, right column, lines 8 and 7 from end, triglyceride increases should be sim3-10 µmol/L in blacks and 7-23 µmol/L in whites. In Table 1 (page 1608S), triglyceride values for men, reading across the table, should be 0.70 ± 0.38, 0.85 ± 0.47, 1.07 ± 0.70, 0.94 ± 0.64, 1.24 ± 0.75, and 1.43 ± 1.26 mmol/L. For women, the values should be 0.64 ± 0.29, 0.71 ± 0.36, 0.81 ± 0.42, 1.12 ± 0.93, 1.19 ± 0.90, and 1.23 ± 0.64 mmol/L. In Table 3 (page 1610S), regression coefficients for triglycerides for men should be 8 ± 2, 23 ± 4, 10 ± 4, and 17 ± 2 µzmol/L. For women, the values should be 3 ± 1, 7 ± 2, 3 ± 1, and 16 ± 1 µmol/L. P values are unchanged.
