Page 113, column 1, paragraph 1: The following sentence should have been inserted just after the sentence that ends with "when site was adjusted for.": Honduran mothers had significantly lower mean (±SD) plasma zinc concentrations than did Swedish mothers (0.61 ± 0.09 compared with 0.94 ± 0.11 mg/L, respectively; P < 0.001), whereas mean maternal plasma copper concentrations were similar at the 2 study sites (1.02 ± 0.23 compared with 1.04 ± 0.18 mg/L, respectively; P = 0.52).
